•  Germany got 3 x Panzer III with turret skirt, their where for Panzers III with hull skirts. So I need to print 3 new hulls and why not print 3 turrets as well. 
• And another cute little tankkette polish TKS 
• Printed M5 Stuart Light Tank, like it and will print some more, probably 2 extra.

spay the fake slot silver, used a cloth and some extra paint her and there to create iron casting effect.

I made it that 1 euro cent will fit into the slot, ill use LDR and LED to detect if someone trowed in a coined.

First layer coating Tiger 1 and Hetzer (38t), 3d printerded two M3 75mm GMC

Tiger 1 early edition and Hetzer will get medium/dark grey finish. Tiger 1 was printed in black PLA, use grey a base coating is always a good idea. I ordered 10 x 10 x 1mm Balsa wood for bases, hope they will arrive soon. Will glue two or three together and make nice sloop.

Look who is out on the battlefield! It's the Tiger 1 early edition, with 8.8cm Kwk 36 cannon. So the proper color for this model would be grey I guess(did a quick search). What a monster, by far the biggest tank in my arsenal . 😁

No the game rules, would be nice to have my own WW2 board game to play with my family/friends some day.

The hobby is growing fast, but most of the work is done by the 3d printer, modeling tanks from materials would be to hard and time consuming.

Painted some tanks, Sherman Firefly, Otter. etc

Some of my new tanks got there first coat of paint, now the imperfections are much more visible. The otter need most sanding and I ordered modeling putty to fix some problems on some tanks.  This batch of green turned out to be better than the first batch. 😃

You can clearly see that white/light grey PLA isn't the best color for dark color paint.

Next layer will be some camouflage


I mix all the colors myself form the 3 primary colors. Yellow, red and blue, have also black ans white and box of small tubes of different colors but I almost never use those.

Love this old hobby again that I did as a child. 😀

Build log HyperCube 3d printer - part 1

I ordered the first parts of my new 3d printer, 4 meters of 2020 profile. That is for the outer construction of the printer, that is the first part that I will build.

Have already printed some(9pcs) of the corner parts to connect the 2020 profiles.

DIY - Power suppy CV / CC

I'm working on an enclosure for a cheap eBay CV/CC power supply. I use ThinkerPad for designing the enclosure, have not much experience with 3dd cad software so I choose beginners friendly one. This is the test version, used only 0.5mm thick walls, 1.5m PLA = $0.11, that is very cheap for the prototype model. 😄 If the enclosure is ready I will post it online.

The ground got his first layer of paint, dark brown with some black, I also darken some parts of one of the AT-ST, just roughly so there will be some depth after the lighter layer are painted.

My Mini Star Wars AT-ST Diorama, models got there the first layer of paint. Glued some stones and some more sand. Next time I will paint all the sand in a muddy color. Nothing is fixed yet, models are standing on there own and not on on there final places. I had one extra pair of legs that I can break up and use them for some broke parts on a battlefield. My (first) tree look horrible, I going to practice that some more.

There is still need for some sanding on some little parts. I worked on his base coating some more, and
but next layer will have more details, green vines, lighter brown and light brown/white highlight and structure to the base, sand, stones, etc.

Working 29 year old big HD44780 LCD scolling text

I reversed engineered this 29 year old HD484780 and hook it up to an Arduino Nano and use the standard LCD lib that Arduino provide with there IDE. It'a 1x20 type, on the bottom that is your typical  2x16 LCD. This old LCD is bigger than my breadboard. :D

2 inch baby groot got his first layer of paint.

Baby Groot got his first layer of paint, I used acrylic paint, and I damage the paint afterwards, but that is already fixed by now, next weekend he will get his second layer, that will be a lighter brown and will not cover all the darker paint of the first layer, so there will be some highlights and a little bit more detail. His fingers need some sanding, will not sand all the paint away but only the sticking out parts, so the paint will act as a filler.

I love Star wars, as child I watched episodes 4 to 6 multiple times, now there is a new movie out I wanted to build something around star wars theme. I don't have to much time, so it will be a mini scene, making smaller things cost you lesser time, in most cases, go to small and cost you more time.
